Born February 29, 1960 to Herb Carpenter and Barbara (Prokop) Carpenter. First of four children. Sisters Carrie Carpenter and Laura Rosenquist, brother Michael Carpenter.
Attended Monty Street School, Plattsburgh Middle School, and graduated from Plattsburgh High School in 1978.
Joined the New York State Department of Corrections in February, 1985. Transferred to Franklin Correctional Facility on Bare Hill Road, Malone New York, in late summer of 1986. Currently employed by N.Y.S.D.O.C.S. at Franklin as a Correction Officer.
Married Lori Jean Parker, daughter of Clarence and Edith (Hughes) Parker, of West Chazy on August 14, 1992. Lori works for Johnson Painting on the Barton Road, Cumberland Head. Parker Robert Carpenter (first son) was born on April 20, 1994, and will be attending Stafford Middle School in the Eighth Grade. Jeremy Ryan Carpenter (second and last son) was born on June 3, 1996, and will also be attending Stafford Middle School this year, in the Sixth Grade.
Was P.T.O. President at Momot Elementary School in Plattsburgh during 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 school year. Represented Momot Elementary School as the Parent Representative on Plattsburgh City School Districts’ District Wide Educational Improvement Council during the 2004-2005, 2005-2006, and 2006-2007 school years. Was the Facilitator of D.W.E.I.C. for the 2005-2006 school year. Was also a parent representative on the Momot School Improvement Program Team during the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 school years.
Elected President of the Stafford Middle School F.S.O. for the upcoming school year, 2007-2008.
Currently I live in the house I grew up in on Main Mill Street with my wife and children.
