In 1973 I became the chair of the science department at Smithtown HS West. In 1977 I became South Unit Principal at Smithtown HS East. As a legislator I am Chair of the Personnel Committee and Grievance Committee. I also serve on the Health, Children and Family Services, and Finance Committees.
Over the past seven years the Clinton County Legislature has worked cooperatively to solve problems that effect county residents. It has been a model that state and federal governments should follow. It has been a pleasure to represent the ideals of the Democratic Party on that legislature knowing that we work for all the citizens, not for the agenda of individuals. As a member of the Legislature I am is committed to,
- Continue the development of Plattsburgh International Airport.
- Attract and sustain area businesses with highly skilled and well-paid workforces.
- Actively supporting our seniors, making life in our community affordable.
- Supporting our labor force and organized labor.
- Representing the needs of the City of Plattsburgh
- Keeping property taxes at an affordable level
These are a few of the many issues we will be working on. I will be expanding on the issues as the campaign unfolds.
