Joe is retired from the United States Air Force. He served in the Security Forces and later in Civil Engineering. Joe served at Da Nang Vietnam in April of 1971 to April of 1972. He currently drives bus for Clinton County Public Transit and is a member of teamsters local 294. He serves as Chief Shop Steward at First Transit in Plattsburgh , New York.
 
Joe holds an Associates degree in Applied Science from Clinton Community College and attended Plattsburgh State. He majored in Political Science. He contributes regularly to Letters to the Editor in the Plattsburgh Press Republican and other state and National Papers.
 
Joe is a life Member of Post#125, Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Plattsburgh. He has held office in both the VFW and the Boy Scouts of America. He is a former Senior Vice Commander of Post#125, A former Cub Master of Pack 82 Plattsburgh Air Force Base and holds a Cub Masters Wood Badge from the Boy Scouts of America.
 
Joe served as Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the security Police color guard and captain of The Post Color Guard at Post # 125 in Plattsburgh and post# 309 in Peru, NY. He was in charge of military Honors at funerals and leading the troops in parades, both at Base functions and numerous parades around the region. Joe has been a resident of the City of Plattsburgh since 1972 and is strongly committed to the area and to its people.
 
Joe was instrumental and strongly committed to the idea of organizing First Transit, Plattsburgh, New York.
His relentless efforts resulted in the Teamsters being voted in and the first ever union contract for Clinton County Public Transit and First transit Inc. Plattsburgh.
 
Joe has served on the Democratic Committee for the Town of Peru. He was appointed to the City of Plattsburgh Democratic Committee as Ward 3 Chairman in 2007. On Jan 27, 2009 after a brief tenure as Vice Chairman He was elected Chairman of the City Democratic Committee.
